Publisher : John C. Winston. Chicago 1935 First Edition 288 pages -- Approx. size 8.25" x 6 inches Published right after Rogers' death in Alaska. On August 15, 1935, the plane carrying Will Rogers crashed in Point Barrow, Alaska. He died on impact. Frontispiece depicting Will Rogers and numerous other photos through-out the book. His wise cracks and folksy observations became more prized by audiences than his expert roping. He became recognized as being a very informed and smart philosopher--telling the truth in very simple words so that everyone could understand. Very nice blue cloth hardcover with black lettering on cover and spine (faded slightly), and illustrated. Pages and boards crisp and straight. Some mild soiling on page ends.
