In addition to the book is a news clipping inserted in a page of a man with the heading "AMERIKA", who I believe is Winfield Scott Hancock, who was was a United States Army officer and the Democratic nominee for President of the United States in 1880. He served with distinction in the Army for four decades, including service in the Mexican–American War and as a Union general in the American Civil War. Very scarce hardcover in very good condition for it's age. Dark coral embossed illustrated cloth, green floral end papers.
Covers show very minor wear to edges and spine ends. Spine slightly tilted. Toned pages with minor sporadic dots of age spotting internally.
Actually quite clean and very collectible.
