This wonderful book emphasizes the service of the men and women from Kittson County, Minnesota, during World War I. Individuals who served are included with a portrait and briefly summarizes the personal history and service to the country during WWI. In general, each entry includes an image, where and when born, parents, branch, unit, and where trained. Also includes where and when they served and, sadly, if the person was wounded or where, when, and how they died.

The volume also describes activities in Kittson County to support the war effort, such as the Red Cross and Liberty Loan activities, (great color pictures), as well as the county draft board, the Home Guard, fuel and food adminstrations, and the American Legion. The volume also includes an illustrated review and a timeline of events of World War I.

Rare book, read and loved very much by previous owner. He had a bookmark in place of a relative Hjalmer Peterson, believed to be immediate relative of (Jolly) Hjalmer Peterson, important coach at BSU Bemidji, Also important basketball, football player in Morehead, MN. 

Scuffing to the covers, broken hinges. A few tears and one taped page. Worst of it is the back missing last page I believe.
