Translated by Olive Beaupré Miller (née Olive Kennon Beaupré) (September 11, 1883 - March 25, 1968)  who was an American writer, publisher and editor of children's literature.  191 pages of fun for children exploring the songs, stories, myths and fairy tails of the French. Fabulous illustrations throughout.  ( Note that another similar book by same publisher is listed "Little Pictures of Japan 1954" )

Heavy blue cloth with striking cream and color illustration to front in medallion, along with bright gilt lettering to front and spine. Bright endpapers. Wonderful condition but do want to mention a tiny closed tear 1/4 In. at top of index page. Otherwise as new inside. Tight, square with only very soft bumped corners and spine ends. Fine. .
